Pueblo’s Al Kaly Shrine unit will host free screenings Saturday for children who have orthopedic problems or health issues. The screenings will run from 9 a.m. to noon at the Masonic Center, 126 Broadway Ave.
The annual screenings are open to anyone. Those with burn-related issues usually are referred to a hospital in Galveston, Texas Wayne McKey, local Shriners spokesman, said the international organization pays for treatment of uninsured patients, while local chapters may help with transportation, food and lodging for family members of patients who need out-of-state treatment.
