Utica, NY. Parade
More candy and gum was flung out by every variety of clown imaginable as the Shriners came through. They ranged from a clown on stilts, to a clown riding a motorized donkey. A traditional parade favorite appeared behind the clowns, when Shriners started zooming about in their mini-cars. The crowd gasped for a moment when a mini-car doubling back for an extra circle at the intersection of Mill and Sugar streets almost plowed into a mini-motorcycle in the following Shriner group, but the drivers caught sight of each other in time and averted an accident.
