Kids Day Shriners Hospital for Children Sacramento

When: Tuesday, October 04, 2011 to Tuesday, October 04, 2011 Sacramento, CA On Tuesday, October 4, Sacramento will celebrate its 15th annual Kids Day. Community volunteers will be selling a special Kids Day edition of The Sacramento Bee on street corners throughout the area. The Kids Day newspapers are filled with inspiring stories about the hospital's patients and programs. The papers sell for $1 each, with net proceeds going directly to Shriners Hospitals for Children® — Northern California, which is located in Sacramento. Donations support the the hospital in its mission to provide specialized pediatric care to children with orthopaedic conditions, spinal cord injuries, burns, scars from any cause and cleft lip and palate. The first Kids Day took place in October 1997. Since then, the event has raised over $1 million to support the expert care provided by Shriners Hospitals for Children — Northern California.
