Hospital Achieves Top Scores on Patient Satisfaction Survey

May , 2013      A hearty congratulations to the environmental services department and patient access team — which includes the schedulers, registration, financial counseling and outside services — for achieving fantastic scoring in the latest reporting from the Press Ganey survey group.

The 99th percentile is reached by receiving the highest possible score on patient survey. The scores received are then compared against other hospitals in the west coast region as well as other Shriners Hospitals for Children®.
Parents have the opportunity to anonymously comment in addition to assigning a rating number in the survey about their hospital experience. The following are a few of the comments that led to the great scoring for the environmental services department,  “We got a five star room, very clean, complete and awesome bed. Also very comfortable for families as well - thank you for thinking of families when you designed the room.” “The room was so cute and clean. You have wonderful, friendly and warm hearted environmental services staff! Thank you!!” and “Everything looks organized and clean.”
The patient access team received the following comments as just of the few of the examples for why they received the 99th percentile scoring, “The person at registration was very friendly. Due to our early check in time, there was no waiting.”  “Registrar was extremely friendly & helpful.” “Your admission girls are great, we LOVE Gloria, but everyone was polite & professional.” “Very friendly, welcoming, kind and courteous. Keep up the awesome work.”
The departments celebrated their achievement with a special lunch hosted by the performance improvement department.
