Corvallis,Shriners to host free screening

Gazette-Times
Children who might need care at a Shriners hospital can receive a free screening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.
The Linn and Benton County Shriners clubs will host the event, which specializes in screening kids up to 18 years of age with orthopedic conditions, burns or scars. Samaritan-affiliated physicians will conduct the screenings and determine if the child should be seen at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland where they would be eligible to receive treatment at no charge.
In addition, members of the Shrine clubs and local Masonic lodges will offer child identification packets to parents. These packets will consist of pictures and fingerprints, which will be taken on-site. Parents will be able to take their child’s identification packet home with them at the end of the screening.
Snacks and entertainment will be provided for the kids while they wait to see a physician.
