Tehran Shriners plan screening clinic for children

The annual Shriners Hospital screening clinic, organized by the Fresno Tehran Shrine, will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 6 at Sierra View District Hospital, 464 W. Putnam Ave.
The clinic is free of charge and is open to children from birth to 18 years of age who have problems with bones, joints or muscles or problems associated with burns.
Children found eligible for treatment will be scheduled for a visit to the Sacramento Shriners Hospital for further evaluation and treatment, if the parents or guardians choose to do so.
Some of the conditions treated at Shriners Hospital include spinal problems, scoliosis, growth problems, cleft lip and palate, plastic surgery needed as a result of burn injuries, scarring causing difficulty in movement of limbs, leg length problems, port-wine stains, clubfoot or apina bifida. Other conditions may be eligible.
All evaluations, transportation and treatment provided by the Shriners are free and offered at the family’s option.
For more information, call Ray Offutt at 786-7990, or Tom Crosnos at 251-1991.
