Join Sapphira Daughters of the Nile for its “From Denim to Diamonds” fashion show at the Red Lion Colonial Hotel, Saturday, Oct. 23. A no-host friendship hour begins at 11 a.m., followed by lunch at noon and the fashion show at 1 p.m.
“The Nile Fashion Show has become an annual Helena tradition,” said Sapphira Temple Queen Carol Huston of Helena. “I invite the public to attend and enjoy the show and fabulous ladies who do so much for the Shriners Hospitals in caring for the many children who receive the help they need from physicians recognized for their expertise.”
Proceeds from the fashion show go to the Daughters of the Nile Foundation, which benefits the Shriners Hospitals for Children, and helps purchase prosthesis, braces, special shoes and items needed for outpatient care of children treated at the Shriners Hospitals. Sapphira Temple also provides linens, blankets, TVs and pictures for two rooms that are used to house families of children being treated at the Spokane Shrine Hospital. All of this, as well as all medical care, is provided at no charge to the children or their parents.
Fashion show chairman Nancy Fuller said this year’s show will feature the latest fashions for children, women and men from various Helena Merchants, as well as Kitson’s Clothing of Cascade, Cold Water Creek of Missoula and Herberger’s of Butte.
Door prizes will be given, in addition to special drawings. A special “Shrine child” will also be present.
Tickets are $20 for the luncheon and fashion show and are available by calling Karen at 443-2230 or Teri at 457-7142.
